When to vaccinate
Puppies and kittens should receive their first round of vaccines at 6–8 weeks of age, with booster shots every 3–4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. Adult pets receive regular vaccinations based on lifestyle and risk. Our veterinarians assess the individual pet; this page is not a one-size protocol.
Vaccines we offer
- Rabies: required by law for dogs and cats. Protects against a deadly virus that can be transmitted to people.
- Distemper: a contagious virus that can cause respiratory and neurological problems.
- Parvovirus: a serious gastrointestinal disease, often fatal in unprotected puppies.
- Bordetella (kennel cough): a contagious respiratory infection — required for boarding.
- Leptospirosis: a bacterial disease that can also infect people.
- FVRCP for cats (required for feline boarding).
