Pet boarding in Huntington Beach

Overnight boarding and daycare for dogs and cats

Huntington Beach Veterinary Hospital boards dogs and cats at 724 E Utica Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. Call (714) 536-7591 to ask about a stay or request an appointment (PetDesk).

When you cannot be with your dog or cat — a day at work or a stretch of travel — our boarding team feeds, exercises, and watches them on site. If a guest needs a veterinarian during hospital hours, care is in the same building.

Hospital hours: Monday–Friday 7:30 am–6:00 pm · Saturday 8:00 am–6:00 pm · Sunday closed. We are not a 24-hour facility. Drop-off and pick-up are during posted hospital hours. The hospital is closed Sunday, so there is no Sunday pick-up at the desk.

Vaccines we require

To protect every guest, pets must be current:

  • Dogs: rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and bordetella (kennel cough)
  • Cats: rabies and FVRCP

We also recommend flea and tick prevention. Pets showing signs of illness or contagious conditions are not admitted. Details: call (714) 536-7591 or see vaccinations.

Our facility

The boarding area is climate-controlled. Dogs stay in spacious kennels with playtime in a secure outdoor area. Cats stay in cat condos with scratching posts and toys.

What a stay includes

  • Comfortable bedding
  • Meals twice daily or on the pet’s usual schedule (you may bring food)
  • Exercise and playtime in a secure outdoor area
  • Medication given by trained staff if required
  • Access to veterinary care if a health concern comes up during hospital hours

Requirements

  • Current vaccines (see list above)
  • Health check — ill pets are not admitted
  • Flea and tick prevention before drop-off
  • An emergency contact that actually answers
  • Labeled personal items

Daycare

Daycare is for owners who need a day, not an overnight. Dogs and cats can spend the day in a safe, supervised setting while you work or run errands.

We do not advertise cage-free play or bathing on this page. Ask the front desk if you have a specific request.
